Candle Care
Everything you need to know about burning, storing, and enjoying your handcrafted candles
First Burn
Your first burn sets the memory for every burn after. Let your candle burn until the entire surface becomes a pool of melted wax ; usually 1 hour per inch of diameter. This prevents tunnelling and ensures an even burn throughout your candle's life.
Trim your wick
Before each burn, trim your wick to approximately 5mm. This prevents smoking, sooting, and those mushroom-shaped carbon buildups. A trimmed wick means a cleaner burn and stronger scent throw.
Candle Care Tips
Never burn for more than 4 hours at a time
-
Allow the wax to solidify completely before relighting
-
Keep away from drafts, fans, and air conditioning vents
-
Always burn on a heat-resistant, level surface
When to Stop Burning
Stop burning your container candle when approximately 10mm of wax remains at the bottom. Burning beyond this point can cause the glass to overheat.
